Talking about his new album:

"..... if I think back to the 1970s, when the Rolling Stones got all the press and we were selling all the records..."

"... I had an entire blockage, I did not know, if I had anything to say, if there was any point and I have always ben embarressed about my lyrical capacity. I look at my early lyrics now, and I go sh..., that su... !"

"... I don't think, it's to hippy dippy now to be talking the way I am..."

Mighty Rearranger, which is his first collection of primarily original music in 12 years, was written and recorded with his band The Strange Sensation . The album's first single "Shine It All Around" is a hit at rock radio, with both fans and critics acknowledging Plant's return to form. The Los Angeles Times says "Robert Plant is a rarity: an epic classic-rock figure who's less interested in his past than in the next new thing... He remains at his best when somehow combining both sides of his musical soul, stepping forward while looking back, still steeped in blues and mysticism while remaining an active man of tomorrow. Plant had one of the most distinctive voices of the '70s. And albums like this should remind fans he's worth hearing once again."
