Canadian rocker PIERRE BOUVIER was taken to hospital over the weekend   when he was hit by a glass bottle thrown at him by a fan. SIMPLE PLAN was playing at the Ovation Music Festival in Ontario, Canada when he was struck in the head. The singer was treated by local paramedics with stitches for a deep gash in his head.

Kelly Clarkson has been diagnosed with bronchitis and, under doctor's orders, has postponed her next three tour dates in Reno, Las Vegas and Spokane. Clarkson is scheduled to sing at several Katrina benefit concerts, but she is not physically ready to handle a full set of music. The postponed concerts will take place later this year and Tickets already purchased will be honored on the new dates.

On Sunday, September 25, the Gene Siskel Film Center will host a special advance screening of Twentieth Century Fox's Walk the Line in order to raise funds for hurricane Katrina victims. Film Critic Robert Ebert and Richard Roeper will MC the event. Admission for the special 7pm screening is $100 - incl. beverages, candy and popcorn. Walk the Line centers around the life of legendary country star Johnny Cash, played by Joaquin Phoenix. The film will open in American theaters on November 18.

The wrecked car in which screen legend JAMES DEAN died in 1955 has disappeared and there is a $1 million reward for its safe return. The Porsche Spyder was bought by Dean's friend GEORGE BARRIS following the fatal accident, who recently lent the wreck to police to add realism to a safety demonstration. The car, nicknamed 'Little Bastard', went missing after just one display, and the Volo Auto Museum in Illinois hopes to secure the vehicle's return in time for its exhibition honoring the 50th anniversary of the GIANT star's death on 30 September 2005

Dave Matthews and his bandmates have decided to add another concert date to their busy schedule in order to help the thousands of Gulf Coast victims. On Monday, September 12, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado will host the event. All proceeds collected at the concert and in the form of admission fees will be distributed to the appropriate relief charities. The Band's statement reads in part, " Our thoughts and prayers are with the communities that have been hit by the hurricane. The devastation and human loss is heart breaking. " This is America, folks. Let's get busy before we turn into a third world nation.

True Ozzy fans can now own the very same toilet that Ozzy pied on, around and sometimes into. The items are available on Ebay for auctioning and while the merchandize is not coming direct from Ozzy's house, the seller claims that they were used by the Osbourne family prior to their bathroom remodel. Other items available are a Jacuzzi, Sink, Curtains and not to forget a Toilet Paper Holder.

Officials in charge of Jazz at Lincoln Center announced that Marsalis will headline the Higher Ground Hurricane Relief Benefit Concert and Auction on Saturday, September 17 at the Rose Theater in Frederick P. Rose Hall on Broadway. Laurence Fishburne will MC with scheduled performances by Elvis Costello, Norah Jones, Bette Midler, Paul Simon, Robin Williams and others. The Money raised will be used to benefit New Orleans musicians affected by the Hurricane. PBS is broadcasting the event during their regular Live From Lincoln Center program. The show will also be carried by XM Satellite Radio on channel 70

Newlyweds BEN AFFLECK and JENNIFER GARNER are planning to turn their backs on Hollywood and enjoy a family life rural Virginia. The couple, who will become first-time parents this November have been house hunting in Charlottesville. Affleck is reportedly planning to sell his Los Angeles home and use Garner's nearby Brentwood, California estate as a family business place, while the family settles in the country. The movie star has told family and friends he intends to keep the Savannah, Georgia, home he bought to avoid the press when he was dating JENNIFER LOPEZ as a holiday home. A pal says, "Ben longs for a quiet, normal life."

The singer and songwriter Barry Manilow has authorized his Manilow Fund for Health and Hope to generate another $150,000 in donations to benefit the American Red Cross. For every dollar donated, Manilow will contribute an equal amount. His Fund will do the same. That instantly triples the initial donation. Bruce Willis is scheduled to make a camio at the set of Fox's hit comedy about the seventies this year. Of course the Die Hard star and episode pal   Ashton Kutcher share one thing in common ... Demi Moore. Willis will play the head of security at the Playboy Club in Chicago, a fast-talking boss on the scene to determine if Kelso (Kutcher) has the right stuff to work for the club. The actor isn't doing the tube gig for the money. He donated his episode fee to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The Willis episode will air sometime in November. His fans will have to keep their eyes peeled as Willis will be wearing thick glasses and a bad toupee.

Legendary country singer Willie Nelson is hitting the road again ... and for a good cause. Nelson, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and other hit-makers will perform at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas on Saturday, October 1 as part of the Katrina Relief Effort. CMT executive Brian Philips told reporters, " The magnitude of this concert reflects the enormous willpower of the country music industry to rebuild the Gulf Coast. " Tickets go on sale Friday, September 16 (10am) at all Ticketmaster outlets and online at the TicketMaster.com

Meat Loaf announced that he will play a concert at the Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday, September 17 to benefit victims of Katrina. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross "Hurricane Relief" Fund.

Chris Martin has banned Coldplay from his home, so wife Gwyneth Paltrow and daughter Apple listen to it in the car. The Hollywood actress has confessed her husband doesn't like to hear his own records, but admits she and baby Apple listen to them when Chris isn't around. Meanwhile the pretty blond has confessed that she is finding it tough balancing motherhood with her successful film career She said: "Having had a child, the idea of doing a film and working those 14-hour days and being away from home is something that's very difficult as a concept"

Alan Jackson: The Grammy-winning country music star will headline a major concert to benefit the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund on Tuesday, September 27 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. The commercial-free television event will include appearances and performances by many of the top singers in the business. Jackson, Alison Krauss , Craig Morgan and Billy Currington are already booked and more artists will be announced later. Great American Country's television network will broadcast the event and make live feeds of the performances available at the GAC at http://www.gactv.com   Ed Hardy, network president, said, " Country music, in particular, is a powerful and unifying force that inspires individuals to action and initiates the process of healing in times of personal tragedy. " In addition to the GAC broadcast, the Opry fundraiser will be simulcast on GAC sister networks DIY Network and Fine Living to involve the largest possible viewing audience.
