Agro-Celt; Jig-Punk; Celtic 'core ... what the #@%#?!
You don't have to be Irish to get your foot tapping to Flogging Molly; a cross breeding traditional Irish influences and heavy-hearted storytelling with brazen punk rock - The Flogging Molly may be called "Agro-Celt," "jig-punk," "Celtic 'core" - they've heard it all before. Dublin born lead singer Dave King began his musical career as a member of Fastway, teaming up with Motorhead guitarist Eddie Clarke in the late 80's. Dave found himself in Los Angeles in 1989 at the invitation of legendary record guru John Kalodner to begin a band called Katmandu. Dave eventually formed Flogging Molly and has been going strong ever since.
